Craft and Tailoring Unit
The Department of Home science has a Crafts and Tailoring Unit for providing skill and training in tailoring, embroidery, craft making etc for students and home makers in and around the district. The skill attained from this unit has made many home makers financially independent. The unit has 20 sewing machines and the establishment has a capacity to accommodate 40 students at a time. In addition to the faculty members, external mentors were often appointed for teaching the students. The salwars and kurtas stitched by the students have often been put up for sale within the campus and has been an item of popular demand especially during the Friday markets.
