Department of History

     History is the process of producing knowledge. Started in 1964 and affiliated to University of Kerala, the Department of History, has a scintillating record of equipping students and familiarizing them with the latest developments in the subject of History, making it a practically relevant knowledge system. B A History programme, offered by this department, is multi- disciplinary in nature and hence provides opportunities to students in future in varied fields like higher education, research and in the preparation of all competitive and related examinations.

     The Department currently has three eminent faculty in History and one in Political Science. We are actively involved in conducting International and National Seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions, Debates and conferences on varied fields in History. Our students are our pride and they have brought many laurels to the department with their academic and non academic achievements.
