Department of Mathematics

     The Department of Mathematics came in to existence in the year 1951. The under graduate course on Mathematics was sanctioned by the University of Kerala in 1961. Since then, the Department was spearheaded by many eminent academicians. Presently the department offers BSc Mathematics under the Choice Based Credit and Semester System. Graduates of this Department are distinctively placed in reputed institutions and organizations both within the country and abroad. BSc Mathematics students can do their post graduation in various fields. MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science MA in Economics MCA are some of them. Over the years many of our students have become University Toppers. The faculty of the department are actively involved research. The vision of the department is to turn it to into a Postgraduate and then to a Research department.
