Computer Centre
The college has two computer centres. One is MP LAD Scheme computer lab established in 2011 with 25 computers and a capacity to accommodate 25 students at a time. The other is I.T Misson (Govt. of Kerala) Sponsored Skill Enhancement Women Resource Centre. Though women in Kerala enjoy high literary status, their role in IT field is less significant. To compensate this they are trained at the college level itself. For this purpose, Skill Enhancement Women Resource Centres have been set up in 10 women colleges in Kerala including S.N. College for Women, Kollam by Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM). Free training is provided to SC/ST student. A core group within the college headed by the Principal, Nodal officer and faculty regularly review the programme. Curriculum includes training on various skills such as communication, behavioral, personality development, computer operational skills etc. for a schedule of 120 hrs. A computer lab with 15 PC was set up along with training in other skills. The lab can accommodate 15 students at a time and different shifts are arranged before and after class hours to give training to students. Job placements are facilitated for the students in IT industry with the help of suitable tie-up with industry and placement agencies.
